New Wireless and USB boards extend the field of view for Interactive classrooms and meeting rooms
CAMBRIDGE, MA - November 30, 2007 - Mimio® released today four new models of Mimio Board, including the world's largest fully integrated single surface interactive whiteboard. The new line combines award winning technology with high quality ceramic steel whiteboards and delivers both wireless and USB cable connection options. The four available projection optimized diagonal display sizes, range from 78 inches to the world's largest interactive whiteboard at 111 inches. Users will enjoy the full featured power and versatility of Mimio technology on a robust, porcelain coated steel board surface with a 50 year warranty.
Mimio Board is available in four models, two sized for optimum 4:3 aspect ratio display and two "HD" models sized for the emerging wide 16:10 aspect ratio.
The interactive technology is built into the Mimio Board frame, housed in a heavy-duty but service-accessible anodized aluminum housing, making the board less susceptible to impact or abrasion damage that can impair the performance of boards that use touch sensitive technology embedded in the board surface. Mimio Board ships as a complete system ready for use with a data projector providing touch responsive interactive display and giving users full control of all computer functions, applications, online resources and documents directly from the whiteboard using the Mimio Mouse interactive stylus. Also included is Mimio Studio software, a suite of interactive tools, enabling users to create and assemble interactive content in an editable notebook. For educators Mimio Studio installs interactive teaching content to support elementary and primary level reading, writing, math, science and social studies lesson content and resources. Mimio Board's porcelain steel surface ensures easy marker use and clean erasures of board notes with high fidelity digital capture of marker notes in standard and extended EXPO dry erase marker colors. Mimio Board's button controls enable quick saving of board notes at any stage, producing "slide show" sequences of board notes for later editing, printing, presentation or review. Captured board notes can be just as easily copied or exported to other file formats or document pages.
Mimio Board is supplied for easy but secure mounting on any classroom, office, meeting room or boardroom wall. An optional aluminum stand on rolling casters, permits Mimio Boards to be easily moved between locations.
